Announcing Our New Customer API

This week we launched our customer API — a powerful new way for software teams to customize, enhance, and integrate GitPrime data with virtually any dashboard or application.

The API will help our customers answer specific questions, solve specialized use cases, and will unlock a new level of accessibility and fine-grained control with information about the development lifecycle.

The REST API includes all the major objects and allows you to export data in JSON or CSV format. Everything that you see in GitPrime is available in the API. Here are a few of the things this new feature enables you to do:

  • Perform a deep analysis of your data. Extract data and enhance, manipulate, or combine it with information from other sources.
  • Integrate GitPrime data to your own company dashboarding tool. You can incorporate your data into existing reports or create entirely new ones. Whether it’s a collaboration hub, a reporting tool, an email service provider, or a Kanban board that you’d like to enhance with GitPrime data, it can be done with the API.
  • Connect GitPrime data to other services, like Slack. Set up automatic alerts, emails, data exports, or updates.

What you decide to do with the new API is really up to your imagination, and we’re excited to see what you come up with.
